Ed Woosley, owner and head fabricator at Force Fed Engineering shows you how to properly lay down a line and get ample coloration from your welds using basic procedures. Merge Collectors for turbo manifolds are sometimes looked at like a secret among fabricators across the land. While generally you can say there are many ways to build one, everyone has their tricks, likes, and options. Ed walks you through some of his 4 cylinder collections here.

Ron is no stranger to the world of motorsports. He knows a thing or 2 about Fabrication owning both a successful drift team and one of the most historic Import Drag teams in history. We recently had a sit down with Ron B. to speak quickly on his thoughts of Fabrication. Sit back and listen. It is great to hear someone speak who isn’t just another critic, but a student of the art. Face it, there is not much out there better than the feeling of luxury. To not be in a “racecar” yet still have tons of power on tap has become the new must-have. Street cars are getting faster daily and we cannot get enough of it. SNL Performance gives us what we want with this lude and insane CTS-V claiming “Most powerful CTS-V in the world” at 1309 rear wheel horsepower. Others have came close, but at nearly 3 times the factory engine’s horsepower output this old man’s car sounds like a bully on the street. We hope to see more video soon. Maybe some 2k videos will surface of this car.. you never know!

So enjoy this 170mph pull with us. Crank the volume, too!

Recent conversation has prompted the topic of “Prep is everything” around here at Fabrication Life.  This is a rule, a token of wisdom that should help anyone produce higher quality welds and finished products.  Seriously, why should the end product of fabrication get all of the attention in the process?  We hope this will open our readers minds to the importance of quality prep-work in the grand scheme of fabrication.  It is one of the most important moments in the process and one that it often times overlooked – leaving the work much to be desired.
