Model 777… A meticulous masterpiece!

Posted on

Luca Iaconi-Stewart has spent the last 5 years on this 1:60 scale rendition of a Boeing 777. Formed from paper materials manila folders, Luca worked his magic fingers, along with dabs of glue, to make this model as life like as possible. But we can only blab about it. Check below to see more on Luca’s Model 777 in videos.

A quick snip of NOS51/TD Autowerkes 2jz-powered Foxbody Mustang dialing in the car. This is only 60′ testing, but it looks promising. 60′ was a 1.23! More to come on this…

1309RWHP 4 door Caddi!

Posted on

Face it, there is not much out there better than the feeling of luxury. To not be in a “racecar” yet still have tons of power on tap has become the new must-have. Street cars are getting faster daily and we cannot get enough of it. SNL Performance gives us what we want with this lude and insane CTS-V claiming “Most powerful CTS-V in the world” at 1309 rear wheel horsepower. Others have came close, but at nearly 3 times the factory engine’s horsepower output this old man’s car sounds like a bully on the street. We hope to see more video soon. Maybe some 2k videos will surface of this car.. you never know!

So enjoy this 170mph pull with us. Crank the volume, too!

FabTime: Super Bowl Lombardi Trophy. How is it made?

Posted on

The Super Bowl. So much hype for this sunday, and for good reason. No need to get into the history of the game or day, we instead want to show you a little bit of behind the scenes. The Wall St Journal filmed a short video showing how the Vince Lombardi Trophy is made. Interesting watch for those like us who will be cramming food on the edge of our seat glued to Super Bowl XLVIII!

…and yes, Tiffany & Co! That is a big ass price tag!

Who are you rooting for?

Tig’d Up Tuesday Review 1-07

Posted on

Tig’d Up Tuesday is that day when our Fan Page goes crazy. We get messages right and left and we post tons of work people send in. There is no method to our madness on this day, no strategy, no timing structure, and no perfect weld to send. Some days we will only post the best work, and some days we will pick 1-3 photos which need critique, or in which a welder needs advice, and we will post them for the crowd. What we mean basically is we have no exact process for Tig’d Up Tuesday.

We also have a new “How-To” post for those of you looking for better weld prep techniques. This post has gained strong attention.

http://betawpe.fabricationlife.com/2014/prep-is-everything

With that said, here are the photos we chose last week.
